STOP ANIMAL ABUSE NOW

STOPPING ANIMAL ABUSE is not something that can happen overnight or in one day, but there are things we can do to help with the process. Unfortunately none of these things will make animal abuse disappear, but every little bit helps.

You don't have to be a member of every animal rights organization to be heard, all it takes is people who care and people who have a voice. Your voice can be vocal, written and or/ physical by "doing" things to help. If you know anything about the ASPCA, it took one man, Henry Bergh, to continue the fight for animal rights. He cared, he fought and HE MADE A DIFFERENCE.

If one man could help spread the word in the 1800's, just think what the 21st Century could do for animals.

  • WRITE A LETTER TO GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ~ You can get involved by emailing, writing, or calling your representative and senators on legislation or issues that concern you.

  • JOIN THE FIGHT~ By joining the ASPCA Advocacy Brigade, you will receive important alerts from us when we need your help to fight for laws against animal cruelty.

  • REPORT ABUSE ~ If you think that an animal has been abused the most important act you can take is to report the cruelty to your local law enforcement. Here is a great website on what to do and a DATABASE with names and cities where abuse is taking place.

  • PREVENT ANIMAL ABUSE ~ Officer Lucas from the TV Show Animal Precinct giving tips on how to help you crack down on cruelty in your own community.

  • REPORT INTERNET CRUELTY ONLINE HERE ~ If you think an animal is being abused or in danger, click and help NOW.

  • FACTS ~ Animal Cruelty Fact #1: Many studies have found a link between cruelty to animals and other forms of interpersonal violence.
